Role: Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering at Lilly's new Medicine Foundry, focusing on supporting and leading automation systems for biopharma manufacturing operations. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering; 8+ years in biopharma automation, with extensive experience in biotech or small molecule manufacturing, particularly in DeltaV-based batch processes; deep expertise in process control protocols, GMP compliance, and automation system validation. Preferred: experience with SCADA, DCS, MES systems (e.g., Syncade), greenfield site development, and organizational decision-making. High-value: biopharma manufacturing, process automation, digital innovation, greenfield facility startup, GMP compliance, and cross-functional leadership. Location: initial in Indianapolis, permanent at Lebanon site. Travel: minimal to support project phases.
