Senior Primate Behavior Specialist

Role: Senior Primate Behaviorist responsible for humane animal care and behavior management in biomedical research. Objectives include developing and implementing behavior assessment, intervention strategies, and supporting animal welfare standards. Responsibilities encompass conducting behavior studies, analyzing welfare data, leading behavior improvement projects, and providing training for staff and external stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's in Life Sciences; 8+ years animal research or breeding experience; 5+ years in behavior management with primates (Rhesus, Cynomolgus or Marmosets); 3+ years in GLP environments; strong observational, communication, and project management skills. Preferred: Professional AALAS LATg/HT or animal behavior certifications.
