Role Summary

Develop, execute and manage IT projects within the defined scope. Expedite, manage and coordinate a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures. Quality Management: ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
  • Initiate and Plan IT Projects: establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables with business and IT management.
  • Project Control: assess changes to scope, issues and risks; work with management and sponsor to resolve; measure performance against plan and budget.
  • Executing and Closing Projects: develop and execute a work plan; obtain resources; gather lessons learned; obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Project Communication: produce reports to provide timely, accurate project status and decision-support information to project teams, management, and stakeholders; make recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Resource and Team Management: coordinate resources; assign tasks; supervise, motivate and mentor cross-functional project teams.
  • Quality Management: ensure compliance with corporate and functional policies and procedures.
  • Decisions: make decisions impacting project activities; influence or finalize project budget decisions.
  • Financial Control: develop and manage multi-year, multi-million dollar budgets; track spend and accruals; coordinate invoices with vendors; maintain spend within +/- 10% of budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience OR Master's Degree with 7 years experience OR PhD with 3 years experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience driving projects through SDLC phases using Waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing significant IT projects in a Pharma environment.
  • Experience managing project budgets in excess of $1MM.
  • Demonstrable executive presence.
  • Proven Microsoft Office skills.
