Role Summary

The Senior PSC Sourcing Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting the team in contract management activities such as administering, writing, and executing contracts related to PSC team. This role supports escalations and resolution of payments committed to suppliers and collaborates with internal and external business teams to address contracts and financial requests.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate and manage Statement of Works (SOWs) and Change Orders (COs) associated with low-risk contracts using the Legal Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Advise and troubleshoot on existing agreements under guidance of the assigned team member.
  • Attend cross-functional internal and external supplier meetings to ensure contract terms are addressed and contracts executed timely.
  • Route, track and facilitate timely progress of contracts from submission to execution.
  • Prepare status reports for contracts in circulation.
  • Create purchase requisitions to enable PSC business to commence work under the executed contract.
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities to enhance the teamβ€šΓ„Γ΄s value delivery.
  • Escalate and resolve invoice issues with Procurement Operations and Accounts Payable; support PO/invoice issue resolution.
  • Facilitate and support budget forecasting and accrual activities as required.
  • Provide support during financial audits at month or quarterly close as needed.
  • Maintain GxP and financial audit inspection readiness where applicable.
  • Assist with other Sourcing projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA in a related discipline with a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in the assigned area may be required.
  • Experience: 1β€šΓ„Γ¬2 years of direct experience in the life-sciences industry with emphasis on contract drafting and source negotiations (preferably with CMOs, CROs, or clinical testing laboratories). Collaboration with multi-functional teams. Working knowledge of clinical and commercial supply chain contract terms and conditions. Experience in negotiating and drafting complex contract manufacturing, biologics, and clinical/commercial supply chain agreements. Experience in SAP, Ariba, Tableau; management of both clinical and commercial supply chain. Experience with Contract Life Management system (Agiloft preferred).
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of the contract management process (tracking, negotiation, approval, signature). Knowledge of drug discovery and development processes; ability to understand risks and requirements in pharmaceutical contracting. Ability to work across Commercial, R&D, CMC, Clinical Studies, and Finance. Ability to work with vendors and negotiate terms. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education

  • BS/BA in a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in assigned area may be required.

Experience

  • 1β€šΓ„Γ¬2 years of direct-life-sciences contract drafting and negotiations experience; familiarity with CMOs, CROs, and clinical testing labs preferred.

  • Working knowledge of clinical and commercial supply chain contract terms and conditions.
