Position Summary
- Own end-to-end semi-monthly payroll for U.S. employees and coordinate EMEA payroll; serve as primary point of contact for payroll and payroll tax matters; streamline accounting operations.
Job Responsibilities
- End-to-end semi-monthly payroll for U.S. employees via ADP TotalSource; coordinate EMEA payroll with an international payroll provider.
- Process off-cycle payroll, including taxable event reporting for equity transactions (RSU vesting, stock option exercises, ESPP).
- Monitor and resolve payroll tax issues to ensure accurate withholding, reporting, and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Strengthen internal controls around payroll to maintain SOX compliance.
- Prepare monthly payroll journal entries with department/time allocation for accurate payroll cost distribution.
- Support monthly period-end close by reconciling payroll-related balance sheet accounts.
- Review employee expense report coding in Ramp prior to NetSuite synchronization.
- Partner with Finance and HR to support payroll/close and implement efficiency and accuracy improvements.
- Support GL tasks (cash journal entries, bank reconciliations) as needed.
- Coordinate PBC documentation for external auditors supporting SOX testing and financial audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration (accounting concentration).
- 5+ years relevant accounting experience with direct payroll ownership preferred.
- Hands-on ADP TotalSource and NetSuite experience.
- Strong payroll tax knowledge (multi-state withholding, equity compensation taxation, year-end reporting: W-2, 941s).
- Experience with Equity Edge Online.
- Proficient in US GAAP; month-end close and account reconciliation experience.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance; advanced Excel skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate cross-functionally.
Travel
- Little to no travel; occasional travel for meetings/training/events.
