Role Summary

Senior Marketing Manager, US Kidney - Pove leads strategic execution for the HCP marketing team within the US Kidney Business Unit, preparing for potential commercialization of an investigational therapeutic for IgA nephropathy and other B cell-mediated diseases. The role shapes and delivers patient engagement strategies that support launch readiness and awareness, with a focus on launch planning, patient-centric marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. Based in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of patient marketing strategies, including patient education tools, digital assets, and community engagement campaigns to support the launch of a new kidney disease therapy.
  • Translate patient insights into compelling, compliant messaging and resources that resonate with diverse patient populations.
  • Develop and update marketing materials aligned with marketing strategy and business objectives (including branded websites, interactive visual aids, sales brochures, etc.).
  • Analyze complex digital and print material usage metrics for performance reporting and assess needs for future updates across brands.
  • Manage agency partners to ensure budget adherence and timely deliverables.
  • Represent patient marketing in brand planning, launch excellence, and lifecycle management discussions.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across channels and touchpoints, tailoring communications to patient needs and cultural considerations.
  • Collaborate with brand leaders to ensure metrics are in place to measure the impact of tactics in the field.
  • Drive assets through internal Communications Review Committee process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the field, HCP Marketing, and disease education counterparts.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand all elements of brand strategy and how to execute them.
  • Broad understanding of regulatory rules and regulations with direct experience with communications review committee for tactic reviews.
  • Ownership and accountability for projects; ability to flag issues to management when appropriate.
  • Ability to interpret insights and apply them to tactics and opportunities.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical marketing or closely related fields (e.g., pharmaceutical sales, ad agency).
  • Proficient in launch planning, patient engagement strategy, and promotional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the kidney disease landscape, patient needs, treatment pathways, and advocacy dynamics.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar) preferred.
  • Typically 6+ years of marketing, consulting or agency experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals with supervisory/management experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred experiences: specialty product launch experience, work within highly competitive markets, kidney experience.
