SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Patient Access Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of patient access and reimbursement initiatives, managing complex escalations, refining patient assistance program criteria, and partnering with Hub service providers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, sustainable access.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Establish/refine enterprise PAP eligibility criteria and access frameworks; set standards for case triage, turnaround, and quality.
- Oversee Patient Access Hub operations and vendor management for quality and compliance.
- Provide senior guidance for complex compassionate use and sample program cases; shape policies to manage risk.
- Modify support services to enhance access and affordability.
- Drive continuous improvement; contribute to new SOPs and governance.
- Create patient access resource/promotional content.
- Develop training and recommend training improvements.
- Provide competitive intelligence and strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Lead cross-functional alignment (Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Compliance); advise on enterprise initiatives/steering committees/executive forums.
- Participate in discussions with payers, specialty pharmacies, and advocacy groups.
- Lead workshops/taskforces for access challenges and portfolio launches.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- None.

Education/Experience/Knowledge & Skills (Required)
- BS/BA + 15 years, or MS/MBA + 13 years, or equivalent.
- 10+ years in pharma/biotech (or Hub service provider/specialty pharmacy).
- Proven success managing national patient access/reimbursement, PAPs, and external vendors.

Preferred/Ability Requirements
- Experience leading medium-scale launches/strategic access initiatives (oncology/orphan preferred).
- Medicare Part D and payer benefit interpretation expertise; compliance knowledge for copay/PAPs.
- Executive-level budgeting/forecasting; advanced analytics and strategic problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Excel/Access/database tools; strong cross-functional influence and communication.

Travel: 35%–45%.
