Senior Patent Counsel (Global Legal Organization)

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications
- Advise the business on patent and regulatory exclusivity strategy
- Review, draft, and advise on IP-related contracts
- Partner with the litigation department on patent-related litigations and disputes
- Conduct third-party and reverse patent due diligence
- Educate stakeholders on IP-related topics

Qualifications:
- J.D. or LL.M. with admission to and good standing with the bar of one state or DC (required)
- Admission to the USPTO (required)
- Degree in molecular biology or related field; MS or PhD preferred
- 5+ years drafting and prosecuting biologics (large molecule pharmaceuticals) patent applications at a law firm or multinational corporation
- Advantage: experience in patent due diligence, patent disputes, non-infringement opinions, regulatory exclusivity strategy, and/or patent license drafting/counseling
- Advantage: IP support for data/software innovations, siRNA, small molecules, or drug/device combinations
