Senior or Principal Scientist, Formulation and Process Development

Role: Senior/Principal Scientist in Formulation and Process Development supporting Celcuity’s drug product lifecycle, primarily for oncology indications. Responsibilities: lead formulation and process development for novel and existing formulations, including pre-formulation, dosage form selection, process scale-up, and manufacturing; design and interpret experiments at contract labs and CDMOs; support technical and regulatory documentation, including IP filings; serve as a subject matter expert on formulation strategies, especially for poorly water-soluble APIs; and identify new external partners. Qualifications: Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields; 7+ years industry experience in drug development, with expertise in small molecule formulations, sterile/parenteral dosage forms, and techniques such as nano-milling, emulsions, salt screening, and lyophilization. Strong physicochemical characterization skills, preclinical support experience, and excellent communication skills required. Preferred: experience with drug device combination products and delivery techniques, especially for injectables and ophthalmic forms.
