Senior Oncology Specialist
Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
- Be the primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge and communicating clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up for medical educational programs) and achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Service/manage accounts: ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with your District Manager.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient impact in focus.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices; continuously learn.
- Leverage oncology/disease-state awareness and industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Qualifications (What We Expect Of You)
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
OR Associate degree + 6 years.
OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience.
- 3+ years sales/marketing experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices.
- Product/hospital sales experience in oncology and/or specialties including nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology/inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Strong planning/organizing, business/technical knowledge, impactful communication, results-driving, relationship-building.
