Senior Oncology Specialist

What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary customer contact; provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Communicate clinical and economic benefits of products.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages; execute planned programs; schedule and follow up on medical educational programs; achieve/exceed sales targets).
- Service and manage accounts (ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts).
- Craft and implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales.
- Analyze sales effectiveness and perform territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and focusing on serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices; maintain continuous learning.
- Leverage oncology and disease-state awareness, plus industry, regulatory, and competitive changes, to deliver agreed results.

What We Expect Of You (Required)
- Bachelorโ€™s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology and/or nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation; and/or neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Expected annual salary range (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico): $158,727 to $177,179 (actual varies by qualifications/experience).
