Senior Oncology Specialist

What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary customer contact/liaison by providing current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of products.
- Achieve territory sales by:
- Creating and executing a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages; planned programs; scheduling and following up on medical educational programs; achieving/exceeding sales targets).
- Servicing and managing accounts (ensuring product access; resolving/triaging reimbursement issues; maintaining product contracts).
- Crafting an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyzing sales effectiveness and territory analysis; developing territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustaining product passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient impact in view.
- Partnering with colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous learning.
- Leveraging oncology/disease state awareness and industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโ€™s degree AND 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- Associate degree AND 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
OR
- High school diploma/GED AND 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, and inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases and related treatments.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.
