Role Summary
Senior Oncology Specialist β Emerald territory (Louisville, KY; includes Paducah, KY and Evansville, IN). Primary customer contact to provide current clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products to medical professionals, and to communicate clinical and economic benefits of the products. Responsible for developing and executing a territory plan to drive branded sales, ensure product access, and maintain contracts, while focusing on serving patients.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, as well as develop territory plans with your District Manager.
- Have passion for the products to sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while always building the brand and serving patients.
- Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and stay in a state of continuous learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
- Leverage your passion for Oncology and disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorβs degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- Required: OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience / or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- Required: OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience / or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- Preferred: Preferred experience in Oncology
- Preferred: Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Preferred: Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation; Neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases, and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
- Preferred: Local Market knowledge
- Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
