Role Summary
Senior Oncology Specialist โ EMERALD, Gainesville, FL. Territory covers Gainesville, Tallahassee, Ocala, The Villages. You will be the primary clinical liaison to medical professionals, providing current clinical knowledge of Amgenโs oncology portfolio and communicating the clinical and economic benefits of the products to healthcare providers. You will drive territory sales by leveraging your oncology background and relationships with medical staff while maintaining focus on serving patients.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
- Analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain a sustained passion for the products through the sales cycle, building the brand and keeping patient service at the forefront.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain a culture of continuous learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
- Leverage passion for Oncology, disease-state awareness, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- Required: Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- Required: High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- Preferred: Preferred experience in Oncology
- Preferred: Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Preferred: Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases, and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
- Preferred: Local market knowledge
- Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
