The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) promotes Pfizer’s oncology product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educates the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products, and calls on accounts/customers to improve patients’ experience and the overall quality of patient care. The SOAS increases Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking insight about the account/business landscape with Pfizer products and resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS (accredited) OR associate’s degree with 8+ years experience OR high school diploma with 10+ years relevant experience
- Domestic travel with overnight stays as needed
- Valid US driver’s license; no DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years
- 4+ years pharmaceutical sales experience OR 4+ years oncology HCP experience with key oncology thought leaders/high-influence customers (hospitals, large group practices, managed care)
- Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience
- Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific product and disease management information
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Proficiency with complex digital applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years oncology sales experience
- Prostate cancer therapeutic area experience
- Master’s degree / advanced HCP degree
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders
Functional/Technical Skills (can include): promote portfolio; strategic territory/account planning; generate demand; maintain institutional relationships; access difficult HCPs; build KOL/customer relationships; assess needs and respond with appropriate resources; engage/influence through selling; work effectively in a matrix.
Benefits/Pay (explicitly stated): base salary range $108,600–$250,700; additional sales incentive bonus; 401(k) match; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; caregiver/parental and medical leave; medical/prescription/dental/vision.
