Role Summary

Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) who will promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products, and engage with accounts to improve patient experiences and overall care. The role requires linking account assessments with Pfizer resources to increase brand presence among high-value customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a broad portfolio of products and demonstrate strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on appropriate use of Pfizer products and manage relationships with institutions and high-influence customers.
  • Call on accounts and organized customers to improve patient experience and care quality.
  • Develop strategic account plans and manage territory to achieve objectives; maintain relationships across institutions.
  • Overcome access barriers to reach healthcare providers and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and priority customers.
  • Assess needs of target physicians and accounts and respond with targeted resources and solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong selling, technical, and relationship-building skills; communicate effectively across a matrix organization.
  • Adapt quickly to new ways of working in a changing environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS degree or associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; certain citations within past 7 years may disqualify eligibility.
  • Required: Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 4 years of Oncology HCP experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large practices, or managed care organizations.
  • Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP roles.
  • Required: Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific information to diverse customers.
  • Required: Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Required: Proficiency with complex digital applications and adaptability to Pfizer’s technology model.
  • Preferred: 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree or advanced HCP degree.
  • Preferred: Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and KOLs.

Additional Requirements

  • Territory includes Fresno CA to Panorama City; relocation may be offered.
