Role Summary

Senior Oncology Account Specialist responsible for promoting Pfizer’s oncology portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating the healthcare community on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and supporting accounts to improve patient experience and overall quality of care. This role helps increase Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking insightful account assessments with knowledge of Pfizer resources. Territory: Denver, CO; travel domestically and overnight as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Promote broad portfolio of products and demonstrate strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Educate healthcare providers on appropriate use of Pfizer products and educate the healthcare community as needed.
  • Call on accounts and organized customers to help improve patient experience and the quality of care delivered.
  • Develop and execute territory/account plans; generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.
  • Maintain relationships across institutions; overcome obstacles to gain access to difficult-to-see health care providers and customers.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and top-priority customers.
  • Assess needs of target physicians/accounts and address them with responsive approaches and appropriate resources.
  • Demonstrate superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills; engage, influence and support customers throughout the selling process.
  • Learn quickly, embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment and operate effectively in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS degree from an accredited institution, or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify.
  • Required: Minimum of 4 years of Pharmaceutical Sales experience or 4 years of Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in hospitals, large group practices or managed care organizations (or a combination).
  • Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience.
  • Required: Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a wide range of customers.
  • Required: Demonstrated high degree of business acumen.
  • Required: Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s long-range technology model.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers and Key Opinion Leaders.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Required).
  • Master’s Degree (Preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Domestic travel and overnight stays as necessary.
