The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) promotes Pfizer’s oncology product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists; educates the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products; calls on accounts and organized customers to improve patient experience and the overall quality of patient care. The SOAS increases Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking account/business landscape insights with knowledge of Pfizer products and resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution OR associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary
- Valid US driver’s license; impaired driving citations within the past 7 years disqualify
- 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales OR 4+ years oncology HCP experience working with key oncology thought leaders/high-influence customers (hospitals, large group practices, managed care)
- Demonstrated track record of success
- Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific product and disease management information
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Proficiency with complex digital applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years oncology sales experience
- Prostate Cancer Therapeutic Area experience
- Master’s degree or advanced HCP degree
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders
Functional/Technical Skills:
- Promote broad portfolio; knowledge of disease states/therapeutic areas/products
- Generate demand; strategic account selling/management; territory planning
- Maintain institutional relationships; access difficult-to-see providers
- Cultivate KOL and top customer relationships; assess and respond to physician/account needs
