Role Summary

Senior Oncology Account Specialist (Hematology) in San Francisco, CA. This role involves promoting Pfizer’s oncology portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating the healthcare community on appropriate product use, and engaging accounts to improve patient experiences and overall quality of care. The position requires linking account insights with Pfizer resources to expand brand presence among high-value customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a broad portfolio of oncology products and communicate technical and scientific information to a range of customers.
  • Educate healthcare providers on appropriate use of Pfizer products and develop strategic account plans to drive objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships across institutions, including hospitals, large group practices, and managed care organizations; engage KOLs and top-priority customers.
  • Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts and navigate access barriers to reach difficult-to-see providers.
  • Assess needs of target physicians and accounts and respond with tailored resources and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS degree from an accredited institution, or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight; valid US driver’s license and driving record complying with company standards (past 7 years DUI/DWI or impaired driving citations disqualify).
  • Required: Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 4 years of Oncology HCP experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience; ability to learn quickly and communicate complex scientific information; strong business acumen.
  • Required: Proficiency with complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model; ability to work in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources.
  • Preferred: 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience; Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) degree; experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
