Role Summary
Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) based in Austin, TX. The role promotes Pfizer’s oncology portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educates on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and calls on accounts to improve patient experience and care quality. It requires linking account insights with Pfizer resources to increase brand presence among high-value customers.
Responsibilities
- Promote a broad portfolio of products with strong knowledge of disease states and therapies.
- Educate healthcare professionals on appropriate use of Pfizer oncology products.
- Call on accounts and organized customers to improve patients’ experience and quality of care.
- Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives; maintain relationships within institutions.
- Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts; overcome access obstacles.
- Cultivate relationships with KOLs and top-priority customers; assess needs and address with targeted resources.
- Engage, influence and support customers throughout the selling process; communicate effectively.
- Work in a matrix environment, leveraging multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results.
Qualifications
- Required: Travel domestically and overnight as necessary.
- Required: Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
- Required: Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or Oncology HCP experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices or managed care organizations.
- Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience; exceptional aptitude for learning and communicating technical product and disease management information.
- Required: Demonstrated high degree of business acumen.
- Required: Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt Pfizer’s long-range technology model to bring relevant Pfizer information to market.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience strongly preferred
- Master’s Degree
- Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers and Key Opinion Leaders

Education
- BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution; OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience
