Senior Oncology Account Manager- Philadelphia, PA & Southern New Jersey (Remote)

The Senior Oncology Account Manager (OAM) is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products and for the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographical territory. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Disease areas of focus: Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers.
Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing strategies and tactics to achieve short-term and long-term sales goals within the territory.
- Develop and manage strategic account plans, including defining measurable objectives, tailoring strategies/tactics to customer needs, allocating resources, and continuously updating plans based on feedback and market changes.
- Use sales analytics to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes and differences from national trends.
- Research and analyze customer needs; identify key stakeholders and understand their roles, priorities, motivations, and patient needs.
- Leverage available resources (dashboards, alerts, omnichannel reports, speaker programs, conferences) and provide timely feedback to cross-functional partners and the Regional Sales Manager.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (marketing, medical affairs, market access) to align and execute account strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Promote Jazz adult oncology products to physicians and other healthcare providers in community and academic centers.
- Stay current on oncology industry trends, competitive landscape, and clinical developments to communicate product differentiation and value proposition.
- Adapt to new tools and resources for successful customer engagement; use analytics to develop insights and next-best-action plans.
- Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key physicians and healthcare organizations in the territory.
- Educate healthcare professionals on approved indications for SCLC and GI cancers and provide accurate responses regarding other approved products/therapies per package insert and compliance guidelines.
- Challenge prescribers appropriately regarding treatment decisions for assigned products.
- Organize/facilitate meetings for exchange of medical and product information per policies/regulatory/legal requirements.
- Represent the company at live/virtual conferences and company events as needed.
- Use CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate territory records.
- Present a professional image and ensure activities align with ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies.
- Comply with applicable legal/regulatory requirements and perform activities within allocated budget.
- Special projects as assigned.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Four-year college/university degree
- Experience in Oncology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation in face-to-face and virtual interactions
- Ability to meet territorial travel requirements
Preferred Experience / Qualifications:
- Post-graduate business school study/training
- Minimum of 5 years in the oncology market
- Strong clinical/technical/scientific knowledge of product(s) and applicable disease states
- Strategic thinker able to drive a strategic account business plan
- Key account management experience in complex academic and community accounts
- Strong business acumen, problem solving, prioritization, account management, and sales data analytics
- Ability to foster teamwork in cross-functional account management
- Results-oriented, proactive/self-motivated
- Experience with GI, HER2 landscape, biomarker-driven therapeutics and/or Lung Cancer (highly preferred)
- Key Account & Market dynamics knowledge
