The Senior Oncology Account Manager (OAM) is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticalsโ products and development/management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned territory. Implements marketing strategies/tactics to achieve sales goals in Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities/Key account skills:
- Use sales analytics and research to understand prescribing/purchasing decisions; build account insights and provide feedback to cross-functional partners.
- Develop and execute tailored, measurable strategic account plans; adjust based on market/customer needs.
- Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, and market access; lead as main point of contact for designated accounts.
- Promote Adult Oncology products to physicians and health care providers (community and academic centers); maintain relationships with key physicians/organizations.
- Educate HCPs on approved indications; communicate clinical information and respond to questions per compliance guidelines.
- Use CRM to manage interactions, track sales activities, and maintain territory records; represent company at events; complete special projects and work within allocated budget.
Required:
- Four-year college/university degree
- Oncology experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication; strong presentations (in-person/virtual)
- Ability to meet territorial travel requirements
Preferred:
- Post-graduate business training; 5+ years in oncology market
- Clinical/technical/scientific knowledge; strategic account management
- Experience in complex academic/community key accounts; strong analytics and business acumen
- Experience with GI, HER2, biomarker-driven therapeutics and/or Lung Cancer
