The Role
The Senior Oncology Account Manager builds and maintains strong professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals/academic medical centers, office, and ancillary staff involved in the care of cancer patients. Provides approved disease and product information and resources to key decision makers and stakeholders within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Support Genmabโs Hematology portfolio in the U.S. marketplace
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals by positioning benefits and use of Genmab products for appropriate patients
- Manage time effectively by focusing on engagements that drive brand value and prioritize patient-impacting activities
- Develop and implement robust territory business plans; meet or exceed territory productivity requirements
- Flex between virtual and in-person engagements; develop plans considering account communication preferences
- Analyze key market data points and translate insights into effective business planning
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships; provide value-based solutions
- Represent Genmab brands in a professional, compliant, ethical, and effective manner
- Communicate disease state, brand, and competitor value across digital and live mediums
- Demonstrate proficiency in reimbursement; understand reimbursement and fulfillment pathways for injectable medications
- Manage territory effectively and demonstrate superior selling competencies
- Gain customer access creatively in the modern landscape
- Foster team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, experience, and information
- Manage territory resources and budget
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Genmab policies for U.S. staff
Requirements / Qualifications
- BS/BA degree (any area/discipline)
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience; at least 3 years demonstrated success in the Oncology marketplace (Hematology experience preferred)
- Hematology/Oncology launch experience
- Strong account management and selling competencies with a track record of meeting/exceeding goals
- Strong business analytics to develop, execute, and adjust territory business plans
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across the customer influence network
- Ability to work effectively in matrix teams
- Demonstrated track record of developing self to drive and enhance performance
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Veeva (and similar tools)
- Flexible; able to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal/external contacts at all levels
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to operating with industry laws/regulations alignment and high ethical standards
- Must live within the assigned geography
