Role Summary

Senior Medical Science Liaisons/ Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) - Cardiovascular role for Mineralys Therapeutics. Fully remote company with field-based MSLs focusing on establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and HCPs within assigned territory, supporting the US Medical Affairs team in cardiovascular disease. Requires a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry and prior MSL/MSL-like experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within assigned region
  • Primary point of contact for field medical and scientific inquiries
  • Serve as subject matter expert at medical conferences, advisory boards, roundtables, clinical investigator meetings, speaker training, and internal meetings
  • Lead and/or participate in project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics
  • Identify and engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical, scientific, and economic data to providers
  • Deliver scientific presentations and training to diverse HCP audiences, communicating complex information effectively
  • Serve as a strategic partner with internal cross-functional teams
  • Support clinical trial site activities as needed and advocate for opportunities in investigator-sponsored research
  • Support continuing medical education (CME) requests and activities through unsolicited grants
  • Support field medical congress activities and attend meetings to gather competitive intelligence and develop collaborations
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate actionable insights from the field to inform company strategy and patient management trends
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to share field insights with Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure policies and regulatory guidance are adhered to in all activities
  • Contribute to medical affairs metrics, reports, and SOPs; document field activities per company policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
  • Senior MSL: 5+ years of current MSL experience; MSL in Scientific/Medical Affairs: 3β€šΓ„Γ¬5 years in biotech/pharma
  • Cardiology/Renal/Metabolic experience preferred
  • 5+ years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research a plus
  • Experience in medically related fields (post-doctoral training acceptable)
  • Experience with KOL development, HCP engagement, and drug launches
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, delivering scientific insights, and achieving outcomes aligned with goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and peer-to-peer collaboration

  • Must be located within driving distance of a major international airport; approx. 50 - 70% travel
