Role Summary
The Sr. MSL is a key member of Global Medical Affairs, communicating scientific, clinical and technical information within the medical community, developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and serving as a therapeutic and radiopharmaceutical expert with internal audiences. The role requires expertise in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, and medical imaging trends, with ongoing knowledge updates. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, develops and maintains long term collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in assigned territory
- Demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to present approved scientific data of varying levels of complexity to internal and external customers in group and one-to-one settings, adjusted to the audience and in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Documents the provision of accurate, approved scientific data in response to unsolicited scientific questions or requests for approved products/brands and for products in development
- Shares approved clinical/technical information in a timely manner with appropriate functional teams and internal personnel
- Utilizes advanced clinical and technical expertise in contacts with External Experts to understand diagnostic imaging patterns, treatment guidelines, provider needs, and patient medical needs
- Identifies potential speakers for promotional programs and speaker training meetings
- Provides constructive feedback to speakers regarding accuracy, delivery, and adherence to compliance policies
- Fully understands and complies with pharmacovigilance SOPs regarding adverse events
- Identifies potential investigators for investigator sponsored trials following approved processes
- Adheres to applicable codes of conduct, policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- PhD, PharmD or MD required
- 5+ years MSL experience preferred
- 7+ years total relevant industry/clinical experience including oncology, urology, or radiopharmaceuticals/medical imaging preferred
- Proficient at translating approved scientific or clinical data into high quality medical information
- Demonstrated leadership in a team environment with effective communication across management, peers, and cross-functional teams
- Highly motivated with a track record of growth and achievement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change
- Exceptional communicator and presenter with proven oral and written skills
Skills
- Oncology and/or Radiopharmaceutical knowledge, including key publications
- In-depth knowledge of a technical, scientific or clinical area
- Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
- Knowledge of principles and implications of pharmacoeconomic data
- Advanced knowledge of the US Healthcare System and the Medical Imaging industry
- Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
Education
- PhD, PharmD or MD required
Additional Requirements
- 70% Travel required; reside near a major airport
