Role: Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Rheumatology within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicines division. Objectives include serving as a scientific expert and strategic partner, supporting medical engagement, and advancing the company's immunology portfolio in Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Responsibilities encompass developing territory-specific scientific engagement plans, establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and HCPs, providing balanced scientific education, supporting investigator-initiated studies, and delivering tailored scientific data. The role involves collaborating with internal teams such as R&D, Medical Affairs, and clinical operations, and utilizing insights and AI tools to optimize engagement and decision-making. The MSL is tasked with staying current on therapeutic trends, scientific literature, and treatment landscapes, fostering inclusion and compliance, and contributing to medical strategy. Qualifications include a Doctorate (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent), with at least 2 years’ relevant experience as an MSL, strong scientific acumen, and ability to support a territory with up to 70% travel. Preferred attributes are residency/fellowship, knowledge in immunology or related therapeutic areas, proficiency with digital tools, and residency in major metro areas like Columbus, Cleveland, or Syracuse. The position emphasizes scientific expertise, strategic engagement, and cross-functional collaboration within a regulated, compliant environment, supporting the development of transformational immunological therapies.
