Senior Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology - Lake Erie Region

Role: Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Rheumatology for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines, serving as a scientific and clinical expert in the immunology domain. Objectives: foster scientific engagement, support medical strategies, and enhance relationships with key healthcare professionals and KOLs within the Upstate NY, PA, and Ohio territories. Responsibilities: develop territory-specific scientific plans, engage in high-quality scientific exchanges, identify educational needs, facilitate investigator-initiated studies, stay current with treatment landscape trends, and collaborate with internal teams including R&D and Medical Affairs. Requirements: doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) with at least 2+ years of relevant experience as an MSL, therapeutic expertise in immunology/rheumatology, proficiency in data analysis, research, and clinical expertise, and ability to travel up to 70%. Preferred: residency/fellowship, familiarity with AI tools, knowledge of therapeutic area, and residence in major metro areas like Columbus, Cleveland, or Syracuse. High-Value: focus on immunological disorders, clinical research, investigator support, and cross-functional collaboration across medical, research, and commercial teams. Work setup: field-based with significant travel.
