Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders and allied HCPs/stakeholders to support appropriate dissemination of clinical, scientific, and health economic data for pain and Vertex compounds.
- Contribute to the medical plan and Medical Affairs strategy/plan using external stakeholder insights; address scientific/educational/research needs with Vertex resources.
- Apply the SEM model; use CRM/analytics for timely documentation and feedback to inform internal strategy.
- Communicate clinical, scientific, and health economic information compliantly to disease-state and product stakeholders.
- Provide IB content at SIV meetings, support trial site nominations, and review end-of-study data with investigators.
- Represent Vertex at medical congresses (session/abstract coverage, booth coverage, TL interactions, summaries); may lead congress logistics and debrief.
- Mentor/train colleagues; complete required administrative tasks in compliance with Vertex policies.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Pain disease/medical knowledge; ability to appraise literature and present credible clinical/scientific information.
- CRM/data analytics; Microsoft Office; regulatory/compliance knowledge; payer and HEOR knowledge; fluency in English and local language.
Requirements:
- Advanced biomedical/life sciences degree (e.g., MS/NP/PA); PhD/PharmD/MD desirable; typically 5+ years MSL or equivalent medical affairs experience.
- Live within the North West territory near an airport; routine travel required.
