Senior MSL (field-based) – Medical Affairs

Responsibilities
- Engage scientifically with key opinion leaders via accurate, non-promotional information exchange.
- Cover NC and SC (excluding Wake Forest, NC); reside in Raleigh or Charlotte metro area.
- Maintain and expand HCP/thought leader relationships; address unsolicited medical information requests (incl. payers/formulary decision makers).
- Support medical strategies for Takeda Oncology products; contribute to matrix Medical Affairs projects.
- Provide field observations/insights to internal stakeholders.
- Serve as congress lead for USMAO strategy at medical conferences (identify sessions, coordinate coverage, facilitate interactions).
- Develop/adapt regional territory plan; coach/mentor Field Medical Affairs staff.
- Lead if molecule/lead: single point of contact for company-sponsored clinical trial enrollment; liaise with study teams.
- Collect and interpret medical insights/intelligence; communicate to support medical strategies.

Qualifications / Skills
- Advanced scientific/healthcare degree required; doctoral degree preferred (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP, DNP/APRN).
- Oncology experience preferred; minimum 3+ years field medical experience preferred; pharmaceutical industry experience required.
- Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPPA, PhRMA Code, and other ethical/compliance guidelines.
- Superior oral/written communication; strong technical/scientific knowledge of pre-clinical/clinical drug development.
- Proven teamwork, leadership, timely decision-making, results orientation.
- Specialty pharmacy product experience with patient access coordination.
