Role Summary
Senior Medical Science Liaison for Neuroimmunology in the Northeast region. This field-based role is based in the Boston area, covering Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The Sr. MSL provides fair, balanced scientific information and education to opinion leaders and healthcare professionals and collaborates with internal partners to support Innovative Medicine initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Building external relationships with identified KOLs and health care providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D., bio coordinators) and developing and managing geographical territory, with both virtual and in-person engagements and a priority on in-person interactions where appropriate.
- Developing and maintaining a territory strategic plan, including educational activities with identified OLs, HCPs, institutions, and community practices.
- Demonstrating competency in the disease state with foundational capabilities in Influence & Results Focused, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge, and Data Insights & Dissemination.
- Rapidly identifying and compliantly collaborating with field-based partners to support healthcare providers and positively impact patients.
- Pursuing agility by applying Change Management, Time Management, and Innovation skills.
- Conducting all activities in accordance with current regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines.
- Travel ability primarily within assigned geography, with infrequent travel outside; travel estimated at 60%.
- Consistently applying strategic territory planning and building strong relationships within the territory; maintaining strong scientific acumen; and continuously supporting department operations and internal partners.
Qualifications
- Required: A PharmD, PhD, or MD, with 2+ years of neurology, immunology, and/or neuromuscular experience.
- Required: 2-4 years MSL experience, and/or 2-3 years relevant work experience (clinical or research) and/or related pharma work.
- Required: Requires travel of approximately 60% depending on geography, including overnight and weekends as needed.
- Required: A valid driverβs license.
- Preferred: Launch experience in rare disease.
- Preferred: Significant experience giving presentations.
