Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) (Nephrology) β Vertex broad Nephrology programs including IgAN and AMKD.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build trusted relationships with Thought Leaders and other HCPs to drive scientific engagement across Nephrology networks.
- Apply the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM) in all interactions.
- Incorporate the medical plan into territory planning/listening priorities; capture feedback in CRM to inform medical strategy.
- Use CRM/data analytics tools for timely capture, workload management, and improved future engagements.
- Communicate scientific and product/disease-state information compliantly at an advanced level.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of regional payers and their impact on patient care.
- Support clinical development/clinical operations by using IB content, presenting materials, nominating trial sites, and reviewing end-of-study data (as needed).
- Represent the company at medical congresses (abstract/session coverage, booth staffing, TL interactions, summaries, debrief logistics as needed).
- Mentor/train less-experienced colleagues (e.g., onboarding).
- Conduct all activities per company policy and complete required administrative tasks (CRM, reporting, expenses, scheduling, training).
Knowledge & Skills (required):
- Appraise medical/scientific literature; effectively present clinical/scientific information; strong knowledge of territory and healthcare regulatory environment; compliant pharmaceutical industry engagement; Health Economics & Outcomes Research knowledge; fluent English.
Education & Experience (required):
- Advanced biomedical/life sciences degree (MS, NP, PA, etc.).
- 4+ years as an MSL in Nephrology or equivalent pharma/biotech medical affairs experience; therapeutic-area experience helpful.
