General Summary:
Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) (Nephrology) for broad Nephrology programs including IgAN and AMKD. Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/academic community; establish and maintain HCP relationships to disseminate clinical/scientific information for Vertex compounds in a timely, ethical, stakeholder-focused manner; shape the medical plan and Medical Affairs strategy with external insights; engage HCPs to address scientific, educational, and research needs and provide emerging data as appropriate.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster trusted relationships with Thought Leaders and other appropriate HCPs; leverage understanding of inter-relationships across academic centers.
- Incorporate SEM (Scientific Engagement Model) into interactions.
- Apply the medical plan to territory planning/listening priorities; capture feedback in CRM.
- Use CRM/data analytics tools to capture interaction details, enhance engagements, and manage workload.
- Communicate scientific information compliantly at an advanced level for disease state and product.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of regional payers and impact on patient care.
- Support clinical development/operations: IB content/presentations, trial site nominations, end-of-study data reviews (as needed).
- Represent at medical congresses (coverage, TL interactions, summaries, debrief as needed).
- Mentor/train less experienced colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with Vertex policies and complete administrative tasks (CRM, expenses, calendar, training, etc.).

Knowledge And Skills:
- Meet goals/timeframes; manage projects in changing field environment.
- Appraise medical/scientific literature; present information credibly.
- Know assigned territory; healthcare regulatory environment; compliance frameworks.
- Health Economics & Outcomes Research knowledge.
- Fluent English (oral/written).

Education And Experience:
- Advanced biomedical/life sciences degree (e.g., Master’s, NP, PA).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an MSL supporting Nephrology or other medical affairs roles in pharma/biotech (or equivalent).
- Therapeutic area training/experience helpful.

Pay Range:
$171,300 - $256,900
