Responsibilities:
- Maintain high therapeutic area expertise and scientific knowledge aligned with Medical Affairs strategic objectives.
- Engage in compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange with KOLs, investigators, and other HCPs.
- Provide accurate, balanced medical information as a trusted scientific resource.
- Deliver company-approved medical/scientific presentations to diverse audiences (e.g., formulary committees, HCPs).
- Support speaker training, advisory boards, and sales training as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate, timely, compliant documentation of field-based activities per MSL guidelines.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to identify/evaluate clinical trial sites and investigators aligned to study objectives.
- Provide scientific education and protocol-specific training to investigators and site staff during site initiation.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with trial sites to support execution, answer protocol questions, and ensure quality data generation.
- Attend relevant medical congresses; provide real-time insights and post-conference reports.
- Support congress presence via pre-conference planning, booth coverage, symposia participation, and KOL engagement; lead strategic conference planning/execution/reporting.
- Contribute to scientific slide decks, FAQs, and educational materials.
- Write/edit Medical Information response letters.
- Ensure materials are medically accurate, evidence-based, and compliant; partner with Medical Affairs and Legal on content guidelines.
- Lead MSL strategic initiatives/projects, develop MSL training plans, contribute to MSL strategy, and mentor MSL peers.

Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DP, PsyD, DNP) in life sciences or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience as an MSL in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of sleep medicine and/or associated neuroscientific areas (required).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to tailor and communicate complex scientific data.
- Proven relationship-building with KOLs, investigators, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic area landscape.
- Skilled in developing and delivering scientific presentations.
- Strong understanding of regulations/guidelines for medical interactions.
- Ability to align field activities with medical and corporate strategies.
- Senior MSLs: proven ability to lead and mentor peers.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must reside in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, or Las Vegas.
- Willing and able to travel extensively within assigned territory (Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix/Scottsdale, Denver, Salt Lake City).

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary range: MSL $175,000–$200,000; Senior MSL $190,000–$220,000.
- Discretionary annual bonus; participation in equity program.

Work Location & Position:
- Remote (West Coast) in the US; up to 60–70% travel and occasional weekends.
- Full-Time, Exempt.
