Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate scientific data; acquire and translate customer insights; foster external expert networks; connect customers to Takeda compliantly to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes
- Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per individual territory plans aligned to medical strategy (80%+ externally focused KOL/HCP activities)
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas/products and competitor landscape; analyze complex scientific information and disseminate to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced, non-misleading manner
- Support strategically aligned Takeda-sponsored research and assist with facilitation of medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform and refine medical strategies/tactics
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
- Execute medical strategy at medical conferences; internally communicate insights gained through poster/session attendance and KOL/HCP interactions
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information within defined timelines and quality standards
- Leverage digital tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and efficiency (e.g., engagement planning, insights reporting)
- Complete required customer activity documentation (e.g., CRM entries, insights capture), training, expense reporting, and administrative responsibilities in a timely, accurate, compliant manner
Required Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) minimum (Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred: PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years post-doctorate experience as a field-based MSL in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements

Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel up to 70% of time (including some overnight and weekends)
- Ability to drive and/or fly to meetings and customers
- Clean and valid driverโs license

- Must reside in West territory: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, or Colorado
