Senior Medical Director, Early Clinical Development & Translational Medicine (MD)

Role: Senior Medical Director, Translational Medicine & Early Clinical Development, leading early phase and mechanistic studies in Madrigal's metabolic liver and cardiometabolic portfolio. Responsibilities: serve as medical lead for first-in-human, proof-of-concept, and indication-expansion trials; design protocols, oversee safety and data interpretation; define translational and biomarker strategies; chair or co-chair early asset teams; collaborate across research, clinical, biomarker, and regulatory functions; represent the company externally at scientific forums; mentor junior staff and refine operating models. Qualifications: MD with >15 years industry experience in clinical development, with a focus on translational medicine, biomarkers, and metabolic liver or cardiometabolic diseases preferred; strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional influencing skills; regulatory agency interaction experience is a plus.
