Main Responsibilities
- Coach, train, and manage disease area directors’ performance and development to ensure excellent execution of role and strategic goals.
- Provide leadership to the Dermatology/Rheumatology US Medical Immunology team (Medical Directors, Medical Science Liaison Managers, MSLs, Medical Operations Manager), fostering teamwork/collaboration; attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Lead development of an Integrated Medical Plan (MSLs, IME, Medical Communications/Publications, Health outcomes, Safety, Clinical Research incl. phase IIIB–IV and ISTs) and annual budget for the therapeutic area with Global and Alliance Medical partners.
- Lead and monitor execution of the Integrated Medical Plan to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Communicate Medical Plan details/progress to Senior Management, the Core Team, and execution stakeholders.
- Ensure strategic and cross-functional alignment (including US Immunology franchise) to support safe and appropriate product use.
- Generate/communicate scientific and medical insights; develop/execute Medical Engagement Plans; manage MSL resources and budgets.
- Partner with Field Medical Head and Medical Directors to manage regional stakeholder relationships, contribute to engagement planning, and oversee MSL budget.
- Identify/support MSL managers for innovation and field excellence initiatives.
- Analyze data to optimize resources and support MSL field force planning across product life cycles (including pre-launch).
- Develop recruiting plans; recruit, hire, develop, and manage medical talent; secure headcount approvals.
- Provide medical leadership to Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Regulatory for marketed products and drugs in development.
- Maintain knowledge and adherence to applicable guidance/regulation/law (e.g., FDA, OIG, DDMAC/OPDP, PhRMA, ICMJE, ISPOR).
- Lead review/approval of IST concepts/protocols per applicable SOP(s).
- Identify and communicate Product Alerts to the Core Team (with US Drug Safety, USRAMP, GMA).
- Partner with US Drug Safety for adverse events, post-marketing safety data, and safety-signal communication.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Thought Leaders and relevant professional organizations.
- Stay current on medical/scientific developments (literature, meetings, conventions, professional associations).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

About You (Qualifications)
- Advanced degree required (PhD, Pharm.D., or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 years relevant Medical Affairs leadership experience.
- Clinical or Medical Affairs experience in Dermatology, Rheumatology, or other relevant Immunology therapy area.

Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and local regulatory process.
- Deep understanding of healthcare systems, medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health, and industry trends to identify issues and develop strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams to set/meet business goals.
- Strategic thinking to leverage business/medical practice knowledge and Sanofi objectives.
- Proven project/time management skills and agility in complex environments; able to motivate/guide teams.
- Demonstrated people-development and change management (Change Champion mindset).
- Digital literacy.
