About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development β Neurology to provide medical leadership across clinical development programs within the neurology portfolio, including driving clinical development strategy and leading the design, execution, interpretation, and communication of Phase 1β3 clinical studies with cross-functional teams.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Lead clinical development strategy for assigned neurology programs and provide medical leadership across multiple clinical studies
- Serve as Clinical Lead and primary medical representative on cross-functional program teams
- Design and oversee Phase 1β3 clinical studies (concepts, protocols, amendments, medical monitoring plans, and clinical development plans)
- Drive program-level clinical decision-making and integrated development strategies supporting regulatory and commercial objectives
- Partner with Clinical Operations to ensure high-quality execution in compliance with regulations, GCP, and company procedures
- Provide medical oversight for ongoing trials (safety review, adverse event assessment, benefit-risk evaluation)
- Collaborate on biomarkers and other strategies with Translational Medicine and Research
- Build relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and external collaborators
- Analyze, interpret, and present clinical data internally and externally
- Support regulatory interactions and contribute to regulatory submissions and health authority communications
- Mentor cross-functional teams and influence matrix partners
- Contribute to portfolio assessments and other strategic initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO (or equivalent) in relevant clinical specialty AND 4+ years clinical experience with broad bio/pharmaceutical/CRO drug development experience
- Accredited residency training and board certification preferred
- Board certification in Neurology strongly preferred
- Movement disorders clinical development experience strongly preferred
- Clinical Lead/program-level leadership experience
- Late-stage/registrational study experience
- Experience with regulatory agencies and submissions
- Migraine and/or neurodegenerative disease experience desirable
- Deep expertise in clinical drug development/clinical research strategy
- Strong study design, execution, safety assessment, biostatistics, data interpretation, and regulatory knowledge
- Proven ability to translate scientific/clinical insights into development strategies
- Outstanding communication/presentation/stakeholder management; strong matrix leadership
- Knowledge of GCP, regulatory procedures, and investigational drug development
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
