Role: Senior Mechanical Technician responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation systems supporting cGMP bioprocessing operations at Humacyte's Durham site. Objectives include ensuring equipment availability, safety, and compliance to meet manufacturing and research needs. Responsibilities encompass executing preventive and corrective maintenance on utilities and cleanroom support systems, developing SOPs, managing work documentation in CMMS, coordinating with equipment manufacturers and internal teams, and troubleshooting BAS and utility systems. Requirements: High School diploma or GED; at least 6 years' experience in facility support systems within a cGMP environment; hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems; experience managing outside contractors; familiarity with complex mechanical systems, single and 3-phase equipment, and cleanroom utilities. Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s in Engineering or related fields. High-value biopharma specifics: supporting bioprocessing, utilities, and cleanroom environments aligned with cGMP standards; working in a regulated biotech manufacturing setting. Collaboration: works closely with maintenance, manufacturing, and facilities teams; reports to Sr. Manager of Maintenance and Clean Utilities. Work setup: on-site in Durham, requiring working holidays, weekends, overtime, on-call rotations, and physical mobility including lifting up to 40 lbs.
