Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (DeltaV/PLC)

Role: Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (DeltaV/PLC) supporting Amgen's Clinical and Commercial Drug Substance manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining process control automation solutions using DeltaV DCS, Rockwell PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems; leading root cause analyses and troubleshooting; managing change controls, CAPAs, and deviations; supporting technology implementation and lifecycle management; and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability. The role also involves operational support, including troubleshooting, system administration, and maintenance, with a rotating on-call schedule. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of automation experience; extensive knowledge of process control systems and programming, especially DeltaV and Rockwell platforms; familiarity with GMP compliance, 21 CFR Part 11, S88, S95, and GAMP; experience in biopharmaceutical process control, ideally in upstream/downstream operations; strong leadership and communication skills; self-motivated and capable of independent work.
