Responsibilities:
- Partner with Tax SMEs to understand current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design future-state processes that are scalable, repeatable, and auditable (operational efficiency, data integrity, data readiness).
- Document processes and controls to enable execution and support internal/external audit requirements.
- Establish/enforce process, data, and documentation standards, best practices, and internal control requirements (including SOX compliance).
- Maintain/evolve processes by assessing changes in business data or tax requirements and updating requirements, design, and documentation.
- Translate tax business requirements into clear process/data requirements; explain impacts and dependencies to Tax, Finance, and IT.
Basic qualifications:
- 8+ years with BS/BA OR 6+ years with MS/MA/MBA OR 2+ years with PhD/PharmD.
Preferred qualifications/skills:
- Corporate/relevant business experience.
- Strong data experience (data structures, data integrity, troubleshooting).
- Advanced Microsoft Suite (Excel, Visio, Teams).
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and process designs.
- Highly preferred: SAP, OneSource, Power Query.
- Strong communication (identify root causes), curiosity about emerging tax technologies, self-starter/ownership, and project management.
