OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Support the strategic advancement of Global Development Organization (GDO) to develop and deliver therapies through innovation and excellence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide project/program management to establish internal, cross-functional, cross-divisional plans for GDO initiatives.
- Partner with GDO Functional Heads and key external stakeholders to lead high-impact projects and oversee department-wide initiatives.
- Create, manage, and implement GDO communications strategy.
- Support and lead cross-functional initiatives critical to GDO and Takeda global business objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support transformational projects and change management to enable predictable delivery.
- Develop and execute fit-for-purpose GDO communication strategy; manage newsletters and messaging and track engagement to improve communications.
- Coordinate GDO-wide events (town halls, roundtables).
- Drive core capability enhancements and process improvements.
- Lead planning/execution of Study/Process Review Forums (agenda, coordination, summaries, action logs with ownership).
- Use program/project management to manage risks, monitor progress/gaps, and ensure business continuity.
- Represent GDO on cross-functional and R&D operational excellence teams.
- Identify project/resource priorities aligned to global business objectives; balance execution with GDO strategy.
- Support leadership team meetings/workshops; support GDO onboarding and engagement (Playbook, SharePoint, People & Culture Learning, etc.).
- Develop tools/templates for consistency and transparency across GDO projects.
- Monitor external industry advances affecting Clinical Operations, Clinical Supplies, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, and Pharmacovigilance.
CORE ELEMENTS
- Understand R&D portfolio and drug development milestones; provide strategic planning and high-quality reporting/insights.
- Experience in Pharma R&D strategy and operations; ability to build relationships across R&D (TAUs, BUs, Finance, central organizations).
- Strong communication skills; strong project management and cross-functional liaison skills.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- Advanced degree (MBA, Science, or Finance preferred).
- 6+ yearsโ experience in pharma/biotech (preferred Clinical Development and Clinical Operations).
- Proven business process transformation and culture change experience.
- Strong time management, organization, analytical, and planning skills.
- Business analysis skills; meeting facilitation and documentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
