As the Sr. Manager of Strategy and Supply Chain, you will be the driving force behind our site's strategic direction and supply chain excellence. You will oversee a team with your leadership to ensure that our facility operates efficiently, meeting product flow standards and aligning with our site master plan. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our Focus Factories, monitoring supply performance metrics, and providing guidance to achieve our supply chain, product portfolio, and physical site planning goals.

In this matrixed leadership role, you will act as the site's liaison with above-site supply chain teams and those within the Focus Factories, ensuring strong connections to network planning, global supply chain, and commercial teams. You will collaborate with site and above-site colleagues to ensure the plant is set up to deliver against present and future demand. Promoting the use of Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) within the business, you will enhance ways of working at the site, particularly in planning systems. You will also own the site master data processes, including system updates and maintenance, driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the site.

This role is crucial for ensuring our site's strategic alignment and supply chain efficiency. Your leadership and passion around strategy and supply chain management, will be instrumental in driving our success and achieving our goals.

This role will report into the Strategy & Operational Excellence leader.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Oversight of the site’s physical and product strategy (E2E oversight for the facility to ensure product flow is meeting standard times and that we have a site master plan to meet product flow needs, including S&OP)
  • You will oversee a team with your leadership that provides Supply Chain support and guidance for the Focus Factory business units
  • Oversee performance monitoring of site Supply Chain metrics and intervenes to provide support when required
  • Manage site master plan and plan development process
  • PC1 identification of new customers and implementation/execution of product introduction and maintenance
  • Drive process for annual standards review and approval
  • Tier 3 escalations in relation to Supply Chain impact / performance
  • Support FF SC colleagues in their development & competency building
  • Support SC site goals and projects across the site aligned to site strategy / Largest Source of loss
  • Act as the site’s liaison with above site Supply Chain to help ensure a strong connection to network planning, Global Supply Chain and commercial teams
  • Work with the site FF/SC colleagues and above site SC colleagues to ensure the plant is set up correctly to deliver against demand / POR – present & future focused
  • Promote the use of OpEx / IMEx within the business as a “way of working”
  • Improved ways of working at site aligned to SC e.g. planning systems (nGPS)
  • Owns Site Master Data processes (system and updates)

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience,
  • Or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience,
  • Or PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record in making decisions within highly complex environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in data science.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Significant experience in people management and talent development.
  • Ability to lead and nurture teams effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of site master planning processes.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP and supply chain planning systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • APICS certification
  • Deep understanding of Lean Management and ERP systems and elements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change effectively.
  • Experience in managing skills and developing a diverse talent pipeline.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements

May require working non-standard hours or shifts. Travel to different sites or locations may be necessary to ensure alignment and support for initiatives. Work Location Assignment: On Premise.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,100.00 to $225,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
