The Senior Manager - Strategic Partnerships, Consumer & Patient Engagement plays a critical role identifying, structuring, and scaling high-impact partnerships to advance digital innovation and consumer engagement strategy.
Essential Functions
- Partnership sourcing & opportunity development:
- Collaborate with business units to identify priorities and needs
- Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities across digital health, consumer platforms, and healthcare ecosystems
- Translate business needs into partnership theses and opportunity areas
- Conduct market scans/landscape assessments
- Develop value propositions and strategic rationale
- Represent Novo Nordisk at tech and health tech events/conferences
- Deal structuring & execution:
- Lead end-to-end execution (outreach, partner engagement, solution design, commercial structuring/negotiation, contracting with legal/compliance)
- Build business cases, success metrics, and financial models
- Ensure scalability and long-term value
- Partnership management & growth:
- Own key partner relationships
- Drive performance optimization, expansion, and evolution of partnerships
- Ensure alignment with internal priorities
- Cross-functional leadership:
- Lead teams across Marketing, Medical, Digital & IT, Legal, and Market Access
- Align on goals, timelines, and success metrics; resolve blockers; coordinate multiple initiatives
- Digital health & consumer innovation: contribute to partnership models (DTC engagement, digital therapeutics/companion solutions, API/platform integrations); pilot and scale solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs required; Masterβs preferred; degree in Business, Innovation, Engineering, Product development, or relevant field
- 7+ years in strategic partnerships/corporate business development/digital health strategy (plus VC/growth-stage startup experience preferred)
- Strong commercial/negotiation skills; track record in strategic partnerships and high value creation; experience with performance metrics/budget; independent with ambiguity; strategic thinking and execution; excellent stakeholder management/influencing; understanding of digital health and/or consumer engagement ecosystems
Compensation/Benefits
- Base compensation range: $120,300β$222,600; eligible for bonus; long-term incentives and/or company vehicles depending on level.
