Senior Manager, Analytical Genetics and Data Science (AGDS) — Individual Contributor
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analyses of large-scale human genetic and phenotypic datasets for discovery and validation of new therapeutic targets.
- Integrate genetic data with other multi-omics data.
- Apply state-of-the-art statistical tools and methodologies.
- Perform QC.
- Identify and interrogate data-driven hypotheses related to analytic and translational genetics.
- Design and execute analytic studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D groups, including pre-clinical and clinical development teams.
Qualifications / Required & Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in genetic association analyses using large-scale genetic data.
- Strong understanding of multi-omics data integration for therapeutic target discovery.
- Experience developing and implementing data harmonization and normalization methods.
- Experience with cutting-edge genetic analysis approaches, including: GWAS, exome-wide association, rare variant analysis, Mendelian randomization, LD score regression, polygenic risk score modeling, pleiotropy analysis, meta-analysis, and using functional data to prioritize variants/genes.
- Proven ability to independently lead and manage research projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams.
Education / Experience:
- PhD in a relevant field (statistical genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, or related).
- 5+ years post-PhD experience analyzing large-scale omics datasets.
