Role Summary
Senior Manager, SAP Solutions GTS G&A. Responsible for managing, supporting, and enhancing SAP Finance capabilities within GTS G&A, with hands-on SAP Finance configuration and strong cross-functional coordination to deliver end-to-end Finance processes, intercompany reconciliation, tax setup, statutory reporting, and month-end activities.
Responsibilities
- Work with business leads to seek out, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity
- Research solutions (process, technology, data) to evaluate deficiencies and identify areas of improvements
- Build/Define/Improve business processes for the SAP Finance + cross functional capabilities
- Gain project management experience across planning and execution phases of initiative
- Serve as a solution owner for a dedicate application/ business process area
- Adhere to audit standards for the applications supported
Essential Functions Of The Job
- Be a GTS Finance Solution Manager with solution accountability, operational run and future improvements
- Partner with business and other solution managers to develop the appropriate roadmap of activities including operational support, minor/major changes and new implementations
- Lead discussions on Finance processes, month end, intercompany reconciliation, data setup, and integrations, utilizing system capabilities
- Have strong hands-on working knowledge of SAP Finance with specific expertise in General Ledger, Currencies, Fixed Assets, Month End Processing, Intercompany Reconciliation, FX, Tax setup/reporting, Statutory Reporting
- Lead SAP Finance general discussions for designated solution areas
- Engage in cross functional discussions for processes & integrations
- Explore areas of less familiarity to help strengthen BeiGeneβs solution maturity
- Gain exposure to technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes
- Maintain and improve management plans for projects, with emphasis on transparent communication
- Accountable for specific activities/applications within the Audit process
- Perform, evaluate, and communicate through various stages of initiatives
- Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production
- Involve in various stages of an initiative: analyzing existing processes and designing, delivering and integrating solutions
- Collaborate with project teams with diverse skills
- Lead project work from origination through delivery
- Perform application design activities (e.g., writing functional designs)
- Collect and conduct gap business requirements and software to drive fit/gap analysis
- Create functional requirements as an input to application design
- Assist with build, test, and deploy activities
- Perform testing work
- Management of vendor resources and prioritization of initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7+ years specific SAP Finance experience (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Currencies, Month End Processing, Intercompany Reconciliation, FX, Tax setup/reporting, Statutory Reporting)
- 7+ years systems implementation experience on SAP Finance, Tax, Intercompany; understanding country-specific rules
- Experience with additional relevant technologies (Blackline, Gappify, Vertex, SAP DRC, etc.)
- Strong understanding of accounting processes & principles
- Project management experience preferred
- Full development lifecycle experience: requirements, design, build, test, deploy
- Previous consulting or client service delivery experience preferred
- Experience with requirements analysis, testing and end user training
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Visio
- Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management
- Extensive experience with data visualization
- Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
