Operations
Responsible for executing global resource strategies and associated budgeting activities and projects to drive and achieve functional goals and objectives. Accountable for ensuring functions and areas operate within the current Plan/updated budget. Strategically project and manage Plan/Update resourcing and associated budget across the function in collaboration with functional heads, Business Operations, and Finance.

Responsibilities:
- Forecast and manage resources and associated budget; short- and long-term forecasts and implications of alternative development scenarios
- Provide leadership and strategic recommendations to ensure functional areas operate within current Plan/Update resources and budget; partner on resourcing and financial planning for initiatives and projects
- Develop overall portfolio timeline and cost estimates; negotiate portfolio outcomes and deliverables to balance time, cost, quality, and performance
- Partner with VPs to develop departmental goals and make strategic decisions affecting the department/business
- Collaborate across R&D to improve operational performance, culture, and decision making
- Maintain cross-functional business relationships to further R&D objectives and enable teamwork and workable solutions
- Serve as resource financial expert; establish relationships with key finance stakeholders
- Establish and manage tools and processes to ensure employee proficiency with departmental systems and guidelines

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred
- 4+ years (Bachelor’s), 3+ years (Master’s), or 2+ years (PhD) in fast-paced environments (e.g., management consulting and pharmaceutical R&D)
- Experience managing large projects in complex matrixed organizations (consultant or internal cross-functional lead)
- Ability to present data/metrics to executive leadership
- Facilitative leadership and stakeholder influence in cross-functional global teams
- Strong interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills; excellent oral and written communication
