Role Summary

Senior Manager, Project Management oversees large-scale capital design and construction projects within either the Innovative Medicines or Medtech sectors. This role leads the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within scope and budget, while meeting quality and safety standards. The position coordinates cross-functional teams across global facilities to drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee project execution following IDEA and FPX, ensuring all deliverables align with safety, cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Follow and implement the project execution plan methodology to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate comprehensive project planning, tracking, and reporting against FPOs to ensure project and program success.
  • Manage customer interactions, contractor relationships, and communications to ensure stakeholder alignment and satisfaction.
  • Oversee project portfolios across diverse sites, whether at IM or MD locations, ensuring delivery in accordance with organizational KPIs.
  • Oversee or support other project leads, stepping into the role of Senior Project Lead when required to ensure consistency and excellence in project delivery.
  • Drive the application of best practices and continuous improvement in project management processes.
  • Demonstrate proactive leadership by managing project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and fostering collaboration among regional stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project, ensuring seamless integration of technical, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Display strategic yet hands-on leadership with strong risk management, effective stakeholder communication, and a focus on delivering projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management from an accredited institution.
  • Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
  • Required: 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, or manufacturing with a focus on operational excellence and team leadership.
  • Required: Demonstrated experience managing projects or programs within a regulated manufacturing environment, including planning, execution, and compliance.
  • Required: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes in FDA-regulated environments, including design, startup, and operational phases.
  • Required: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget; experience with financial management related to project budgets, resource planning, and forecasting.
  • Required: Travel up to 25โ€“50% domestically and internationally.
  • Preferred: Project Management Certification or Degree; LEED AP certification; familiarity with Front-End Loading Best Practices.

Skills

  • Required: Agile decision making, cross-functional collaboration, leadership, organizational project management, project management methodologies (PMM/PMO), project planning and reporting, and strong technical credibility.
  • Preferred: Analytics insights, continuous improvement, program management, project management tools, and ability to manage complex SOWs.

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an accredited institution (required).
