Position Summary
- Provide strategic leadership for warehousing and transportation procurement.
- Lead procurement for a key, large-scale project transforming the global distribution network.
- Align long-term procurement and network strategy with growth, cost, service, and risk; partner with senior leadership and Warehouse Global Category Execution to negotiate/execute agreements.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for warehousing/transportation network transformation.
- Support network design reviews and long-range planning.
- Conduct market engagement to identify/evaluate/select suppliers.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Design and lead RFP events; run supplier development workshops.
- Negotiate complex contracts with multiple suppliers/3PLs pre–project go-live.
- Maintain market knowledge; manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables.
- Advise make-vs.-buy supplier selection.
- Interface with executive leaders of 3PL partners (quality, reliability, innovation, cost).
- Partner with DELIVER and BU Source Leaders; drive competitive advantage.
Role Requirements
- Experience in warehousing & transportation procurement; led large transformational projects.
- Knowledge of distribution/warehousing operations.
- Strong supplier relationship management and stakeholder influencing.
- Experience negotiating complex 3PL contracts.
- Leadership, change management, project management, and strong business/P&L acumen.
- Lead market engagement (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) with multi-stakeholder events.
- Strong verbal/written communication; fluent English.
Education / Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA, Supply Chain, or Operations Research).
- Preferred certifications: CPSM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean/Six Sigma, CRE/CIPS.
