Role Summary

Senior Manager Procurement NA Transportation will manage approximately $125 million or less in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This role provides global and regional leadership for developing and executing end-to-end category strategies in Logistics Services and Ground logistics, partnering with key stakeholders to deliver value improvements, and ensuring alignment with quality, reliability, innovation, cost, and corporate social responsibility targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the Procurement vision for Logistics Services and Ground logistics with and through the stakeholder community.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that address the unique requirements of Logistics Services and Ground logistics, including regional business needs and global opportunities to leverage scale.
  • Interface directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost.
  • Identify business demand requirements and partner with Business Engagement Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage.
  • Engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment with long-range business plans.
  • Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ to enable dynamic dialogue on perspectives and information critical to optimal approaches and solutions.
  • Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers, including data review and analysis, performance management, and end-to-end value improvement, bringing innovation to the business.
  • Identify, develop and direct the implementation of procurement goals and category strategies based on subject matter expertise and market dynamics.
  • Escalate issues that may impact Global Procurement.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required: Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Required: Strong proficiency with core procurement skills (supplier management and performance, spend analysis, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
  • Required: Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration, and talent development skills
  • Required: Ability to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives
  • Required: Judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
  • Required: Customer orientation and ability to build strong relationships with management
