Role Summary

Senior Manager, Procurement, Capital Services & Solutions. Primary procurement lead for major capital projects, partnering with Global Capital Project Engineering, Global Capital Project Delivery and Site Engineering to develop project sourcing strategies. Focused on delivering lowest total cost of ownership and meeting project schedules for capital projects typically over $25M. Builds strong partnerships with business partners to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with stakeholders across Finance, EHS, Quality, and other functions.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Development and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers (Construction Manager, AE, Project Controls, C&Q and subcontractors); ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements; assist in subcontractor buyout strategies.
  • Procurement Management: Develop procurement execution plans and strategies; oversee procurement processes including Should Cost estimates, RFQs/RFPs; evaluate bids and proposals to select contractors and suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Develop procurement risk registers during preconstruction; monitor market trends and supply chain risks; identify and mitigate contract-related risks.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and costs; assist in payments to contractors and suppliers; co-manage change orders and contract variations.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Set up and maintain Autodesk preconstruction tools for capital projects; ensure insurances, permits, and licenses are obtained; ensure compliance with SOPs and laws; support documentation, workflows, tracking, and reporting using Autodesk platforms; maintain contract records.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders; provide regular updates on contract status and issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor contractor/supplier performance; conduct site visits and inspections; prepare procurement status reports and analytics; work with legal teams to resolve disputes.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety requirements are included in contracts and observed on-site; monitor compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education of a B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing procurement activities for capital or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction sourcing best practices and contract management.
  • Proven ability to leverage digital collaboration platforms for procurement and project management (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud: Precon, Build, BIM 360, Docs).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills in construction.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with project teams.
